What is ISP?

One of the questions I get most often is “Anna sooo what actually is ISP?” ISP stands for International Service Project. The university I attend grounds themseleves on the Great Commission. They find great importance of spreading the Gospel and making disciples of every nation. Because of this they send students on ISP trips every year. Studetns go all over the world on trips where they can serve, love others, and shine a light for Christ.

I’ve watched friends go on these trips for the past two years and have seen their lives impacted in incredible ways! I’ve always been intrigued, but this past fall I really felt God calling me to go and serve. I started the application process and was chosen to be on a team to South Asia! I am so excited for this chance to serve.

Many people are curious as to what exactly these ISP teams do, but honestly they’re all different. Each team serves the local area they are stationed in whatever way may be needed. We are put through different training this semester to prepare us for whatever that may actually be! As a team we are flexible and ready to serve in whatever ways are presented. We will work alongside others already serving in South Asia in order to show the love of Christ to them. While we aren’t quite sure what that will entail yet I can’t wait to share more about it as we find out and of course after we actually live it out!

As of right now I would greatly appreciate your prayers! My team and I would love if you could pray for open hearts, a spirit of willingness, and for our preperation in general. And of course if you could join us in praying over the people of South Asia as well!!
